The Chemours DeLisle plant, located in Pass Christian, MS, is one of the world's largest producers of titanium dioxide and has been in operation since 1979. It is nestled within 62-miles of scenic coastline from New Orleans, Louisiana to Mobile, Alabama.

The DeLisle Research and Development Team is currently seeking highly motivated Investigators for direct hire opportunities.? This is a highly visible, key role within the Company and the R&D function and will report to the site Technical Manager.?

The Titanium Technologies R&D Investigator will have the knowledge and experience to work closely with the R&D, Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance teams to support medium and long range improvements to the safety, quality, and productivity of our manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will maintain ownership over process areas of responsibility by coordinating with counterparts at other Chemours TiO2 sites, internal Engineering teams, offsite functions, and other critical Personnel. The candidate should have process engineering experience in a chemical processing or related industry. Experience in managing capital projects is a plus. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a team of talented, high caliber Engineers.

Overview of responsibility for the role:

  • Lead projects and cross functional teams both onsite and across multiple plants to expand manufacturing capacity, transition products to high volume manufacturing, or implement continuous improvements to existing products
  • Lead technology teams to develop and share circuit wide best manufacturing practices
  • Bring incremental and step change innovative solutions to product and process development
  • Develop and execute road maps for 5-10 year process and product development and improvement plans
  • Mentor less experienced Engineers in innovation, troubleshooting and engineering principles
  • Provide engineering expertise on unit operations such as reactors, heat and mass transfer, mixing systems, filtration technologies, solids separation, gas burners and drying technologies, bulk solids handling, packaging systems, palletizing equipment, etc.
  • Drive business initiatives for world class performance in safety, yield, uptime, quality, capacity, and cost while minimizing our environmental footprint.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical engineering required; MS or PhD will also be considered
  • Five to ten years of engineering experience in the chemical manufacturing industry preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing innovative solutions to technical challenges
  • Demonstrated strong fundamental engineering skills and approach in their work
  • Statistical process controls and/or design of experiments experience; 6 sigma certification preferred
  • Capability to adapt well to fast-paced working environment of multiple and/or rapidly evolving projects
  • Time management skills to deal with competing priorities while setting progressive yet realistic time frames and expectations relative to project deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work in diverse cross-functional teams
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Legal right to work in the US without restriction (must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
